The scope of services involves assisting in direct patient care. Nurse will apply knowledge of principles and practices of practical nursing and pharmacology acquired through formal education and training. Contacts are made with patients in the provision of practical nursing care.

Required experience:

Psychiatric Nurse

Provide trauma-informed, non-coercive care to children in acute mental health crisis. Care is interdisciplinary and nurses work alongside Mental Health Partners to build relationships with patients in order to maintain safety and teach to skills in the lived moments of the child’s day. Our patients generally sleep at night in units of 6. There is a Mental Health Partner monitoring each 6 bed unit and 4 nurses who admit patients, complete morning blood draws and provide care for those children who may not be able to sleep. Fast paced, patient centered.

  • 40hr per week
  • 8hr Night Shifts
  • Work every other Weekend
  • Holidays to be negotiated
  • 24 acute, inpatient pediatric psychiatry beds
  • 1:6 Nurse to Pt Ratio
  • All levels of experience accepted
  • Dress code: Ceil Blue and White
  • BKAT is required
  • Must have a valid Virginia RN license
  • Current BLS and CPR licenses
  • Full immunization records

Registered Nurses – Multiple Specialities

Registered Nurses needed for full-time, contract and per-diem opportunities at all major hospitals in the Richmond area.  Positions also available for state and federal contracts. 

  • Minimum 2 years of current acute care experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • MMR, Varicella, Hep B Titers or proof of immunization
  • Pass Urine drug screen and criminal background check
  • BLS and CPR certification
  • Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred but not required

SICU Nurse

Registered Nurses needed for full-time, contract and per-diem opportunities at all major hospitals in the Richmond area.  

  • Minimum 2 years of current acute care experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure

OR Registered Nurse

OR registered nurses needed for 6 months full-time contract at a major hospital in the Richmond area.  

  • Minimum 2 years of Level 1 Trauma OR experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • MMR, Varicella, Hep B Titers or proof of immunization
  • Pass 10 panel drug screen and criminal background check
  • BLS and CPR certification
  • Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred but not required

Full Time Home HOSPICE Health Registered Nurse/Case Manager

The registered nurse plans, organizes and directs home care services and is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on hospice and community health education/experience. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities.

Position Qualifications

  • Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
  • Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing.
  • Maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Minimum of two years experience, at least one of which is in the area of hospice and home care nursing is preferred.
  • Self directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
  • Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
  • Management experience not required. Responsible for supervising home health aides.
  • Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position, or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching. Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
