Remedi SeniorCare is a United States-based institutional pharmacy business, serving a growing number of facilities extending from the Mid-Atlantic to the Midwest. Remedi offers long-term care facilities everything they need to provide better care to their residents by delivering highly responsive pharmacy solutions inspired by our customers. Remedi’s Virginia pharmacy needed staff augmentation options and partnered with Gateway in the summer of 2013.
Challenge: Remedi’s local pharmacy was growing at a tremendous pace and was in need of additional resources. A 24-7 operation with 3 overlapping shifts required a new approach to recruiting and retaining the area’s best pharmacy technicians. Remedi had been using another staffing firm but had been unable to attract and keep good talent.
Solution: Gateway quickly learned Remedi’s business model which includes an innovative and highly technological approach to pharmacy delivery services. Gateway took the time, including tours of their facility, to understand the management styles of Remedi’s leadership and the culture of the pharmacy. Gateway sourced and screened a large volume of candidates and presented only those technicians which could thrive in a high-tech, fast paced environment. Gateway ensured that our candidates were better positioned to succeed than our competition and we quickly staffed numerous technicians on all shifts.
Results: Many of our temporary technicians went on to be offered full-time roles as Remedi continued to grow. Remedi was able to increase productivity, reduce staff augmentation costs and hire a new wave of talent to prepare for even more future growth.
