Psychiatric Nurse

Provide trauma-informed, non-coercive care to children in acute mental health crisis. Care is interdisciplinary and nurses work alongside Mental Health Partners to build relationships with patients in order to maintain safety and teach to skills in the lived moments of the child’s day. Our patients generally sleep at night in units of 6. There is a Mental Health Partner monitoring each 6 bed unit and 4 nurses who admit patients, complete morning blood draws and provide care for those children who may not be able to sleep. Fast paced, patient centered.

PRN Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, provide oral cancer screening and radiographic studies. The Dental Hygienist charts conditions of decay and disease. Dental Hygienist will perform procedures in compliance with the dental practice set forth by practice providers.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, seating and draping the patient.
  • Maintain patient appearance.
  • Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing and selecting instruments.
  • Selects materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health.
  • Completes dental prophylaxis by removing calculus and plaque from all surfaces of teeth.
  • Remove stains and deposits from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
  • Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession.
  • Take radiographs to determine patient health and needs.
  • Arrests dental decay by applying fluoride and other cavity preventing agents.

Education level and experience required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required, Bachelors preferred
  • 2 + years experience as Dental Hygienist
  • CPR Certification preferred
  • X-Ray Certification required
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPPA privacy rules

PRN Dental Assistant

Responsibilities
Performs tasks designated by the pharmacist to assist in patient care that do not legally require a pharmacist's supervision or verification. 
Communicates effectively with all staff members. 
Identifies equipment or operational problems and brings them to the attention of a pharmacist or pharmacy manager. 
Interacts with other health care practitioners in a multidisciplinary environment. 
Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage.

Manager - Respiratory Therapists

The Manager - Respiratory Therapists position is responsible for two areas: (1) conducting set ups for COPD patients (essentially first month of care) in their homes in the surrounding Richmond area, and (2) managing the activities of the full team of Respiratory Therapists (approximately 10 RTs including PRNs), holding the team accountable for the overall objectives of our respiratory programs.

Home Health Physical Therapist

Provide skilled therapy intervention and treatment to patients in a home setting. Including, appropriate utilization of treatment plans and assessment skills. Monitor carefully the patient status and progress toward goals as well as compliance with physician’s orders. Responsible for educating patients and caregivers while preparing the patient/caregiver for discharge as appropriate.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements :

  • A person who is licensed, by the State of VA, and

(1) Graduated after successful completion of a Physical Therapist education program approved by one of the following:

  • The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).Successor organizations of CAPTE.

  • Graduated after successful completion of an education program determined to be substantially equivalent to Physical Therapist entry level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or identified in 8 CFR 212.15(e) as it relates to Physical Therapists.
  • Passed an examination for Physical Therapists approved by the State in which physical therapy services are provided.

Before January 1, 2008—

  • Graduated from a physical therapy curriculum approved by one of the following:
  • The American Physical Therapy Association.
  • The Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
  • The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • On or before December 31, 1977 was licensed or qualified as a Physical Therapist and meets both of the following:

Full Time Home HOSPICE Health Registered Nurse/Case Manager

The registered nurse plans, organizes and directs home care services and is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on hospice and community health education/experience. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities.

Position Qualifications

  • Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
  • Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing.
  • Maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Minimum of two years experience, at least one of which is in the area of hospice and home care nursing is preferred.
  • Self directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
  • Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
  • Management experience not required. Responsible for supervising home health aides.
